Lava Serpents

Lava Serpents are born when a volcano goes dormant and they are the last blessings given from the volcano. While Lava Serpents have a deep connection with Fire they are also inclined to be born able to use other elements. As there are many reasons why a volcano goes dormant. They are a lively bunch of spirits that tend to make sure that they are not only heard but respected. Each Lava Serpent is born with different cracks along their body and each set is unique much like tattoos on a human. They have a knack for being the ones that people turn to, to help with people that need spell work done. Lava Serpents are who other spirits turn to for spells regarding passion and agriculture as they are able to make the proper spells to help the earth grow or passion rise. While normally rather formal, Lava Serpents tend to find time to “goof” off with things like reading and doing hobbies. Their most exciting days are when they are making spells or others and helping to grow life where life has not been for a long time. Lava Serpents regard Earth and Fire elements to be the to that are the “best” as they help bring life even if it is through destruction. Lava Serpents tend to enjoy things that are not popular with others, eating habits, relaxing habits and such. They are the first to try something new but are the last ones to fight. If they need to fight someone, they would rather buy a hired hand to do so or use spells in order to make barriers so they can escape. That does not mean they cannot fight, they just prefer to use their existence for helping others over fighting them. While great with spells and fire magic, they are always thirsty for knowledge. They will become study bugs if there is nothing else to do at that moment. But in doing so, that just makes it so they have more to give then to receive. They thoroughly enjoy, and will often trade others, getting knowledge over money in situations that ask for them to barter. This just helps them grow the knowledge that they want so badly while allowing them to help others at the same time. When a Lava Serpent is at their “peak” they are able to not only harness what they have learned but also use magic that is not something normally done by their species. This is something they have worked on and have teachers to teach them down the generations. While nothing is perfectly remembered, the new generations are able to find new ways to use “old” magic passed down to them.

Nijeli (Ni-gel-e)

Nijeli are snake shifters that have a humanoid form as well as a snake form. They do have a "hybrid" form of this which makes them look similar to Naga, while there are similarities to these species, they are completely different. Nijeli have some form of scales that are present on all of their forms. If they are in their humanoid form, it tends to trail down the side of their bodies and around their ears and neck. If they are in their snake form, it is their whole body and if they are in their "hybrid" form, it tends to cover 80% of their body. Nijeli are a warrior based tribe that find ways to make themselves productive to others. They use the skills that they were taught, and honed in, to bring prosperity to their home towns. They are hired for protection as well as strategic planning. Nijeli have a wide range of knowledge when it comes to battling and they seem to be able to analyze everything going on around them to make their plans. Those what are not inclined to the warrior side of life, be it retirement or just no heart for it, begin doing things around the town. From making sure farming is maintained or children are watched over. Nijeli are very group and family oriented. They know, that without the community they are from they cannot survive. As we would say "you are only as strong as your weakest link", they live by a very similar thought process. Those that retire from fighting, normally end up teaching the next set of Nijeli to grow into the new warriors of the tribe.
