Ben'yani

Ben'yani is roughly translated to blood demon, these demons are a very protective species. Ben'yani tend to be very dark grey or black alignment, as they have very little boundaries when it comes to protection. While Ben'yani are blood demons there is no feeding on blood, but they will "go for blood" if needed. Meaning if there is a major problem where the disrespect is great, the Ben'yani will be the first to dive into fighting with the blood of whomever disrespected them. The fables of old about Ben'yani happily craving blood or wanting it as a sacrifice are just that, old fables. They have not required blood in so long that most Ben'yani do not know about that except for in those fables. Ben'yani have a knack for the darker arts like cursing. They come up with curses that most do not understand. What they do is a specialty of theirs. Ben'yani find great pleasures in the underworking’s of the body. They tend to make sure that when they are learning, they take the notes needed to do it again. Ben'yani constantly make sure that they are learning to be better with what they do protection wise. While they are fiercely protective of those of their own clans, they are equal, if not more so, protective of those they chose to align themselves with. Ben’yani do not have many enemies, but those they choose to make an enemy are enemies for life. Unlike humans, who use the term enemy lightly, when a Ben’yani calls you an enemy, you are on their version of “dead to me” lists. Since they re so protective of their own kind, bullying is rather unheard of and instead they have ways of settling the score with those who wish to cause problems. Normally, some form of duel is issued and once that duel is over, the peace will be restored between those two, permanently. Duels do not happen often, and there are very strict rules associated with them, an example is one can only request a duel three times in their life, unless a special rule is made. Making the duels something that is not only rare, but of a very good reason to begin with.

Dul'lit

Dul'lit's are roughly translated to shadow demons. They are a very prosperous species, having the skills of shadow and the earth to help guide them on their way. You can find Dul'lit's lounging about somewhat in the winter, as they find this to be the time to be rid of their energy and reask the Universe to give it back to them to help cleanse their spirits. They are very spiritual species, knowing all life is given from the smallest atom to the biggest being. Dul'lit's tend to be the more "hermited" type of species and normally mingle with just their own species unless it is for trading purposes. They trade medicinal potions that they harvest and craft with ingredients found around their land. While Dul'lit's are more hermited, those that are not tend to know a bit more then those who stay inside of their town. They are willing to mingle with other species in order to help with spiritual journey for that person and their own. Dul'lit's have a need to watch and learn sometimes. When there is something they don't understand they will ask permission to watch and understand what is happening.

Fox Demons

Fox Demons are a form of demon that are similar to shifters. They tend to live in random remote locations in the astral that others have stopped inhabiting. They are big on the thought that everything has use even after it has outlived its initial purpose. They tend to create gorgeous homes in the old towns they now occupy. Fox Demons are a very loving species and tend to take care of all of their members. Normally hounds tend to leave the runt of the litter to their own devices but with Fox Demons, they help out any families that have a “runt” and bring extra food and things of that nature for them. Fox Demons also tend to “jump” between their human form and their fox for, preferring to sleep in their fox form so they can hear things easier. Fox Demons have times in which they return back to their homeland and have celebrations that are rarely missed as it is when the whole skulk can get together and enjoy everyone’s company. Younger Fox Demons will roam from home with smaller skulks and either find a new place to call home as a skulk or a place where they feel free to be apart from each other. These younger skulks are the reason why Fox Demons are dotted around the astral. Fox Demons tend to be very comforting and love to be around people, spirits or humans, who they can help comfort and relax. They thrive on higher energies like anxiety and emotions of that nature and end up using it for its nutrients and giving back to the person calming energy to replace what they have eaten. Fox Demons have been known to be great therapists and emotional support friends as they can help relax you when you are having a hard time functioning with day to day tasks.

Lunar Demons

Lunar demons are a race of demons that have long since devoted themselves to the moon and all that she is. They worship everything that is the moon, from the Gods/Goddesses that reign over keeping her safe to the flowers that only bloom in the presence of the moon. Lunar demons tend to have some form of moon tattooed on them when they are the human equivalent of about five or six years old. Lunar demons have old traditions that date back to the beginning of their people and they have not faltered in their traditions. Some of these traditions are, never giving birth under a new moon as they believe their child will not be blessed with the same moon energies that other children have. Never to have a child during the day, as well as if they are thinking about being with someone there is a full ritual that goes into dating and potential engagement. The Lunar demons may be riddled with old traditions but, have learned to adapt new ones in that make their lives a little easier. They have found different ways to have their lunar ceremonies and what used to be a month long preparation is down to a week long without tiring themselves out. It is with this celebration that they are able to not only unite in marriage but also begin their affairs with other demons such as business and pact creation. The Lunar demons, while rich in their traditions have very few customs that are used differently outside of their homelands. They return home to have full use of their customs and tend to live a bit more carefree outside of their homeland. This can be having casual relationships or even adopting children over having them. While it is not always the normal thing to do, they do find living “like a normal demon” to be something that they enjoy doing outside of the homeland. This can be devoting to other deities, with the notion that they will always hold Moon deities above them in all that they do, having a tier system with the moon being on top. While they do not devote to just any other deity, sticking close with deities that are of the sea, cosmic or night; they tend to shy away from deities that are too far away from the moon. Being loyal to not only their family, but also to those that they call their own, be it friends, companions or even those that are considered to be pets. Lunar demons have a knack for wit while still being respectful, a nice sarcasm that is never meant to hurt or make others feel bad. It is a healthy way that they have learned to speak their minds without having to hold in the way they personally feel.

Ree'lany (Re-Lawn-e)

Ree'lany are dragon demon hybrids that are from a deep caverned cityscape. The Ree'lany find that they are only called for protection when "precious" cargo is being moved. This can be from royal spirits to remains of great leaders of other species. They have a need to fight for the betterment of others. When they are born, they are all taken from their parents and placed into a giant nest of eggs. This is so they are all born together and none is doted on to think they are superior to the others. During the first few months of a Ree'lany's life, they are kept with the clutch of others and protected by every parent. This way there is no choice but to keep everyone at the same standard. Ree'lany are very strict when it comes to their teachings. So much so, that if a young Ree'lany begins to act up and not listen they are removed from the teachings of that teacher and sent to a different class where they teach discipline before academics. Ree'lany grow to be very strict and only after they have learned their ability to command are they allowed to learn what relaxing is. While very strict with their own species, they understand that others are not like this, in which they are far more lenient of those other species. While being great protectors that comes with grand fighters that are known to only keep to themselves unless they are required to interact. This allows them to focus on the greater whole of missions or tasks and not allow others to distract them.

Void Demons

Void demons from this clan are a species of demon who have descended from the Void but no longer link fully to it. They are rather stiff and highly detailed. The Void Demons come from a long line of demons from the Void, they just ended their ties with it fully as their generations began to spread further away from its teaching. They can still access parts of it, magic from it and lore passed down from their ancestors, but they can no longer cross into the Void without being injured after long exposure. They have a small area right outside of their Void crossing that they can talk to Void's that are closer to the mother Void for them to receive what they need from the other side. They are very secretive of this location and bring no one with them. They are so secretive that at a certain point there is a veil created by the Void to dismiss those that are not allowed to be inside of it. These Void Demons take pride in their clothing and things they create. And will show off the fine jewelry that they make in order to have a slight praise given to them. They also have an eye for detail, they can see at a magnification of about 100x its normal item, but this is by choice verses an always. While they have their many secrets to their past and how they came to be. They will share these, that they can, with someone they trust and care for.
